Consequences and Management of Excessive Ostial Stent Protrusion: A Case Report.

Aorto-ostial lesions, especially in the right coronary artery, may be challenging due to their morphological and anatomical features, more so when there is a previous stent which may be protruding. Little is known about the long-term safety of protruding stents and results of re-intervention. Presented here is a case of restenosis of a markedly protruding stent at the right coronary ostium.

Recurrent postcardiac injury syndrome mimicking cardiac perforation following transvenous pacing: An unusual presentation.

We report a case of recurrent postcardiac injury syndrome (PCIS) after pacemaker lead insertion. Each episode was attended by hemorrhagic pleuro-pericardial effusion with drop in hemoglobin levels leading us to consider cardiac perforation and subject the patient to surgical pericardiotomy. However, no perforation or active bleeding was detected on exploration.
