Assessment of perspectives, knowledge and attitude about antibiotic use and resistance in Sudanese population.

Introduction: The spread of multidrug-resistant pathogens is a major global health concern. A survey was conducted to evaluate the knowledge and attitudes towards antimicrobial use and resistance in Sudan.

Methodology: A cross-sectional survey with a 39-item questionnaire was distributed via social media platforms to Sudanese residents in Khartoum state.

Background: The mental health of students plays a crucial role in their learning and performance. The COVID-19 pandemic, the political turmoil and a coup in Sudan has exacerbated stress and anxiety among university students in Sudan due to uncertainty about their academic activities.

A First Report on Side-Effects of COVID-19 Vaccines among General Population in Sudan: A Cross-Sectional Analysis.

Background: The process of mass immunization against COVID-19 may be impacted by vaccine reluctance despite intense and ongoing efforts to boost vaccine coverage. The COVID-19 vaccine is a crucial component for controlling the pandemic. To the best of our knowledge, we did not come across any study presenting the post-vaccination side-effect profile among the Sudanese population.

Activity of Aristolochia bracteolata against Moraxella catarrhalis.

A bioassay-guided fractionation of methanol extract of Aristolochia bracteolata whole plant was carried out in order to evaluate its antimicrobial activity and to identify the active compounds in this extract. Antibacterial and antifungal activities of methanol extract against gram-positive, gram-negative, and fungal strains were investigated by the agar disk diffusion method.
