Iron oxide nanoparticles, recognized for their superparamagnetic properties, are promising for future healthcare therapies. However, their extensive use in medicine and electronics contributes to their discharge into our environments, highlighting the need for further research on their cellular damage effects on aquatic organisms. While the detrimental properties of other compounds have been stated in the early-life stages of fish, the cytotoxic consequences of superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (SPIONs) in these stages are still unexplored.

Red tilapia eggs one day post fertilization (dpf) were exposed to coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) at rates of 0, 5, and 10 mg/L for control, treatment 2 (C5), and treatment 3 (C10), respectively, without exchanging water and until the larval mouth-opening stage. Background: Hypotension, which is commonly associated with propofol induction of general anesthesia in coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) surgery, may cause adverse consequences in patients with coronary artery diseases undergoing this type of surgeries. The clinical absence of verbal response and eyelash reflex was used as an endpoint for hypnosis. Background And Aims: Hemodynamic changes to pneumoperitoneum and postoperative pain can be detrimental in obese patients; we investigated whether intravenous (IV) or intraperitoneal (IP) magnesium sulphate (MgSo) administration could attenuate the hemodynamic stress response to pneumoperitoneum and improve postoperative pain control after laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG).
