Objective: To compare the oxytocin doses used during induction, relative to the number of labor hours, between singleton and twin pregnancies.
Materials And Methods: We conducted a retrospective case-control study in two tertiary referral centers in France. Women with twin pregnancies who underwent labor induction with oxytocin in each center were eligible.
Background: For students between the ages of 11 and 18, the estimated daily exposure to electronic media is around 1.5 hours, suggesting a growing trend in the amount of time spent in front of a screen. Increasing screen time use is related to sleep, mental health, cognitive, emotional, and behavioral disorders, unhealthy diets, depressive symptoms, poor quality of life, and substance-behavioral addictions.

Recognizing that regular exercise has the potential to reduce the occurrence of neuromuscular disorders, the present research investigated the impact of exercise on the redox status of the hypothalamus in mitigating the adverse effects associated with high sucrose intake. Forty Wistar albino rats were subjected to a high sucrose diet, with some groups engaging in exercise for a duration of 3 months.

In this study, we investigated the effects of the orange coproduct extract (OCE) and the combination of pure hesperidin and oleuropein (HO) on an experimental model of pulmonary fibrosis induced by bleomycin (BLM) in Wistar rats. Rats were divided into six groups: the control group (G1), the BLM group (G2), three groups (G3, G4, G5) receiving a single dose of BLM combined with OCE extract at 100, 200, and 300 mg/kg, and group 6 (G6) receiving a single dose of BLM combined with HO: both pure major phenolic compounds of OCE (hesperidin at 50 mg/kg) and olive leaves (oleuropein at 2.

This study aimed to determine the chemical profile of two snail mucus extracts: the garden snail (Helix aspersa) and the desert snail (Eremina desertorum). In addition, it elucidates the antityrosinase, antioxidant, and anticancer activities against the human cancer cell line epithelioid carcinoma (Hela).

The activity of super oxidase dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), and glutathione peroxidase (GPX) of gills, hepatopancreas, and muscle tissue were measured. SDS Polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) and West blotting technique were performed to detect MT Protein expression.

Method: The case-control study was conducted at Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt, from January to August 2020, and comprised adult acute ischaemic stroke patients of either gender selected from the stroke unit of the Neurology Department at Kasr Alainy Hospital of Cairo University. Healthy individuals matched for age and gender were enrolled as controls.
Introduction: Diet rich in purines may increase the serum level of uric acid causing hyperuricemia, contributing to learning and memory to impairments. Ascorbic acid has a potent antioxidant potential. The hippocampus is a pivotal component of human brains and other vertebrates that plays crucial roles in the consolidation of information and spatial memory.

Mesial roots and isthmuses of mandibular molars are difficult areas to obtain adequate disinfection of root canal walls, and consequently microorganisms can survive treatment. The present study compared, through real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR), the effectiveness of TRUShape (TS) (Dentsply Tulsa Dental Specialties, Tulsa, OK) and Vortex Blue (VB) (Dentsply Tulsa Dental Specialties, Tulsa, OK) in removing () from the mesial canals and isthmuses of mandibular molars. Fifty extracted human lower molars were inoculated with OG1RF for 14 days, and then an initial bacterial sample was collected with paper points from mesiobuccal and mesiolingual canals and isthmuses.

Subclinical AKI is a condition in which tubular damage biomarkers [Neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL) and kidney injury molecule-1(KIM-1)] are positive even in the absence of elevated serum creatinine. Recent studies reported that SGLT-2 inhibitors could protect against subclinical AKI in diabetic patients by elevating the level of β-Hydroxybutyric acid (βOHB).
