Considering the current climate change scenario, the development of heat-tolerant rice cultivars (Oryza sativa L.) is paramount for cultivation in waterlogged systems affected by iron (Fe) excess. The objective of this work was to investigate the physiological basis of tolerance to excess Fe in rice cultivars that would maintain photosynthetic efficiency at higher temperatures.
