Purpose: To evaluate risk factors associated with severe retinopathy of prematurity ROP (sROP) in two separate cohorts of infants.

Methods: We performed a retrospective study of the Merative MarketScan Commercial Database between 2003 and 2022. Infants with ROP were stratified into two cohorts: group A (defined as infants with both birth weight [BW] <1000 g and gestational age [GA] <29 weeks) and group B (defined as infants with either BW ≥1000 g or GA ≥29 weeks).

We analyzed vessel density at the superficial (SCP), intermediate (ICP), and deep capillary plexuses (DCP), foveal avascular zone (FAZ) parameters, and blood flow area (BFA) at the choriocapillaris. We used a mixed-effects linear regression model, controlling for hypertension and two eyes from the same subject, to compare OCTA parameters.

Background: Drug-related deaths in Scotland are the highest in Europe. Half of all deaths in people experiencing homelessness are drug related, yet we know little about the unmet health needs of people experiencing homelessness with recent non-fatal overdose, limiting a tailored practice and policy response to a public health crisis.

Methods: People experiencing homelessness with at least one non-fatal street drug overdose in the previous 6 months were recruited from 20 venues in Glasgow, Scotland, and randomised into PHOENIx plus usual care, or usual care.

We describe the clinical characteristics of treatment-naïve polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV) in three tertiary clinic settings in 2 cities (Chicago in the USA and Nishinomiya in Japan). This cohort study was a retrospective, multicenter, consecutive case series. A total of 126 patients with treatment-naïve PCV-46 in Chicago and 80 in Nishinomiya-were identified.
