Introduction: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have revolutionized cancer therapy by enhancing the antitumor immune response. This case describes an 80-year-old male with synchronous multiple primary malignancies (MPMs), including lung metastatic hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC), and brain metastatic urothelial carcinoma, who was treated with dual ICI therapy.
Case Presentation: The patient, with a history of diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidaemia, well-differentiated neuroendocrine duodenal tumors and micronodular exogenous cirrhosis (Child-Pugh class A), presented with a non-invasive bladder carcinoma (pT1N0M0) resected endoscopically in December 2022.
In the era of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI), managing non-oncogene driven non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with brain metastases (BM) is challenging, especially when brain involvement is the initial sign. Patients with newly diagnosed brain metastatic NSCLC without epidermal growth factor receptor (EFGR) nor anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) alterations were retrospectively included. Twenty-five patients were analyzed; 15 (60%) had symptomatic BM as the first sign (group 1), while 10 (40%) had BM discovered during complementary examinations (group 2).

The structure of these molecules is based on an antibody that targets a protein on the lung cancer cell surface and a cytotoxic payload attached by a linker. Many protein targets, including TROP2, c-MET, CEACAM5, HER2, and HER3 have been identified.

ALK inhibitors are currently used to treat first-line metastatic non-small cell lung cancer with ALK rearrangement. Compared to chemotherapy, ALK inhibitors have improved progression-free survival, overall survival, and quality of life for patients.

Few case reports have suggested solitary digital metastasis as the single secondary lesion of oligometastatic non-small cell lung cancer.
Case Presentation: This case report describes an unusual presentation of a Kirsten rat sarcoma viral oncogene homolog-mutated lung adenocarcinoma with a solitary bone metastasis in the fourth finger medial phalanx, which was also the first sign of the disease, in a 63-year-old Caucasian female patient.
Background: Gemcitabine is an antimetabolite used in the treatment of pancreatic cancer. One of the side effects of gemcitabine is vascular toxicity. Here, we report the case of a patient treated with gemcitabine who had peripheral vascular disease concomitant with a prolonged antitumor response.

The introduction of dual HER2 blockade by trastuzumab and pertuzumab as first-line has positioned T-DM1 into second-line, and lapatinib plus capecitabine beyond, without formal evaluation of these strategies.
Methods: ESME Data Platform (NCT03275311) included individual data from all patients aged ≥18 years, in whom first-line treatment for metastatic breast cancer (MBC) was initiated between January 1, 2008 and December 31, 2016 in one of the 18 French Comprehensive Cancer Centers.
Metal complexes based on transition metals have rich photochemical and photophysical properties that are derived from a variety of excited state electronic configurations triggered by visible and near-infrared light. These properties can be exploited to produce powerful energy and electron transfer processes that can lead to oxygen-(in)dependent photobiological activity. These principles are the basis of photodynamic therapy (PDT), which is a clinically approved treatment that offers a promising, effective, and noninvasive complementary treatment or even an alternative to treat several types of cancers.

Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have led to a revolution in cancer management, mainly due to lasting long-term durable responses in a subset of patients with metastatic solid tumours (Gettinger et al. in JCO 36(17):1675-1684, 2018). As immunotherapy is gradually being applied for the treatment of a large range of solid tumours, the incidence of neurological immune-related adverse events (irAEs) has increased (2).

Recent findings suggest that gut microbiota may influence response to cancer treatment, especially immune checkpoint blockers (ICBs). The development of ICBs has changed outcomes of patients with cancer and has allowed sustained recovery.
