[Acute psychosis secondary to dysthyroidism: about 2 cases].

Thyroid function abnormalities are common and affect nearly 5% of the general population, with a female predominance. The occurrence of mental disorders, especially mood disorders, during thyroid diseases is known since a century, while psychotic disorders associated with dysthyroidisms are rarely described. We report 2 cases of patients with psychotic disorders showing two different situations: the first of which following hyperthyroidism with poor medication adherence and the second secondary to hypothyroidism after thyroidectomy.
