The foundation of the turbo-generator comprises a generator, turbine, and associated equipment situated on the top of the frame foundation, which consists of a bottom raft, top deck, and columns. The current study examines how the geometrical characteristics of the frame foundation, such as slab thickness, column dimensions, and length, affect the dynamic displacement response and the natural frequencies of the frame foundation. The work is done through 3-D dynamic modal and harmonic analyses using Ansys Workbench finite element software.

The new 3D MRI sequence VISTA (Volume ISotopic Turbo spin echo Acquisition) can improve detection and characterization of perianal fistula compared with two-dimensional (2D) sequences.

The gram-positive synthesized Ag, Cu, and their bi-metallic nanocomposites extracellularly. We aimed to prepare the bimetallic nanocomposite in two different ways, and we compared them in terms of characterization and biological applications.

We examine gastrointestinal disruptions, specifically impaired intestinal barrier integrity and microbial dysbiosis, as contributors to these comorbidities.
Recent Findings: HIV infection compromises the intestinal epithelial barrier, increasing permeability and microbial translocation, which trigger inflammation and cellular stress.
In this project, we conducted micro-beam sensitivity mapping using the Diamond Light Source (DLS) synchrotron. We fabricated three samples with distinct metal contacts: Platinum (HPS-Pt) and Aluminium/Platinum (HPS-Al/Pt) on high-quality single crystal CVD diamond, and Platinum (VS-Pt) on lower purity single crystal CVD diamond. Our objective was to identify the most suitable sample for synchrotron measurements, particularly focusing on the lower purity sample due to its unique characteristics, such as thin nitrogen lines and substrate area.

Both vaccines target the Pf sporozoite surface protein circumsporozoite protein (CSP). Recent studies showed that human antibodies neutralize Pf sporozoites most efficiently when simultaneously binding to the PfCSP NANP repeat and the NPDP junction domain.

Transmitted mainly by Aedes mosquitoes, the virus is spread mostly amongst several tropical regions with the potential of territorial expansion due to environmental and ecological changes. The ZIKV envelope protein's domain III, crucial for vaccine development due to its role in receptor binding and neutralizing antibody targeting, was integrated into sterically optimized AP205 VLPs to create an EDIII-based VLP vaccine.

Aims: This study aimed to assess the effect of G-CEM, a fluoride-releasing cement, on the development of white spot lesions (WSLs) and their severity around orthodontic brackets.
Methods And Materials: This case-control study was conducted by reviewing 140 dental records of fixed orthodontic patients presenting to an orthodontic clinic. The patients were assigned to two groups ( n = 70).
Soybean meal (SM) serves as a primary alternative to fish meal in aquafeeds. However, a high-SM diet may result in intestinal injury. Our previous study demonstrated the probiotic effects of heat-inactivated Bacillus subtilis (LCBS1) on bullfrogs (Aquarana catesbeianus) fed a high-SM diet, probably attributed to the bioactive constituent of cell wall.

Current vaccines have practical limitations, there is a strong need for safer, more effective options. This study introduces novel vaccine candidates covering all four dengue virus (DENV) serotypes using virus-like particles (VLPs), a proven vaccine platform.

This IgE-mediated cellular activation may be blocked by allergen-specific IgG through multiple mechanisms, including direct neutralization of the allergen or engagement of the inhibitory receptor FcγRIIb which blocks IgE signal transduction. In addition, co-engagement of FcεRI and FcγRIIb by IgE-IgG-allergen immune complexes causes down regulation of receptor-bound IgE, resulting in desensitization of the cells.

Our understanding of metabolic decline after acute COVID-19 remains unclear due to the lack of animal models. Here, we report a non-human primate model of metabolic post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 using SARS-CoV-2 infected African green monkeys.

The purpose of this study was to explore the perceptions of HCPs on the barriers and facilitators to using a clinical decision support tool for osteoarthritis pain management in the hemodialysis setting.
Methods: A qualitative descriptive study was conducted.
Cefepime is used for the treatment of nosocomial infections and serves as a carbapenem-sparing agent for treating AmpC inducible bacteria. Cefepime induced neurotoxicity (CIN) is a well-documented adverse effect, although data describing the risk of CIN in patients with a history of seizures (HOS) remains limited. The primary and secondary objectives were to compare the rates of CIN in patients with and without HOS and identify risk factors associated with CIN, respectively.
