Arsenic trioxide is one of the most common metallic pollutants entering the food chain both by human activities and nature. Its entry inside the living organism through food, air and water results into the accumulation of heavy metal in several tissues which manifest several metabolic or hormonal disorders. Till now the effect of arsenic trioxide on protein misfolding and aggregation culminating into several neurodegenerative disorders is poorly understood.
