Pseudoexfoliation (PEX) is an age-related, complex systemic disorder of protein aggregopathy. It is characterized by the extracellular fibril depositions, termed PEX fibrils, initially observed in various organ tissues during pseudoexfoliation syndrome (PEXS) and with significant prominence in the eye during advanced pseudoexfoliation glaucoma (PEXG). The study explores the association between CACNA1A (calcium channel, voltage-dependent, P/Q type, alpha 1 A subunit) variants and PEX in an Indian population.

The HPHMC900 serves as an effective electrocatalyst for the reduction of nitrate in an aqueous environment to ammonia (NORR). Importantly, HPHMC900 demonstrated fast kinetics for the NORR with a low Tafel slope of 70 mV decade.

The country records the highest mortality due to dog-bite-related rabies despite the availability of interventions to prevent deaths. We present a case study of the death of a 59-year-old man in a suburban town of Northeast India after a dog bite from an owned pup.

This study integrates Shapley Additive explanations (SHAPs) into ensemble machine learning models to improve the accuracy and efficiency of diabetes predictions. By identifying the most influential features using SHAP, this study examined their role in maintaining high predictive performance while minimizing computational demands.

Few studies are available on the prevalence of SFGR infections in India, especially in eastern India. In a cross-sectional study conducted in 192 hospitalized adult and paediatric patients with AUFI, the frequency of SFGR using sequential PCR targeting genes encoding citrate synthase (gltA), 17 kDa lipoprotein precursor antigen (17kDa), outer membrane proteins A and B (omp A & omp B) was 6.

We study percolation transition of run and tumble particles (RTPs) on a two dimensional square lattice. RTPs in these models run to the nearest neighbour along their internal orientation with unit rate, and to other nearest neighbours with rates . In addition, they tumble to change their internal orientation with rate .

Tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) have greatly improved survival but pose challenges due to their long-term effects on growth and bone health in children. We prospectively studied treatment-free remission (TFR) in 45 children with pCML in chronic phase on imatinib.

According to the latest National Family Health Survey Report 2022, more than half of India's rural population and 41 per cent overall still depend on solid or unclean fuel combustions, which may reflect in future health hazards. Thus, it is crucial to understand the issue empirically.

However, the determination of the order of aromaticity of molecules as simple as furan, thiophene, and selenophene is still challenging. This work describes how different theoretical and experimental methods posit different aromaticity orders.

Introduction: Upholding good dental health has wider effects on productivity and performance at work in addition to being crucial for individual well-being. Because it can affect both their personal well-being and productivity at work, post office workers' oral health is therefore a critical issue of concern. Hence, evaluating Bhubaneswar city post office workers' dental health is the study's aim.

Health-seeking behavior represents the actions taken to prevent the disease and promote health. It emphasizes both the illness response and the healthcare utilization driven by perceived threat and effectiveness of the preventive behavior. This study aims to scrutinize the progression of research conducted on health-seeking behavior in high-risk period such as COVID-19 using bibliometric analysis.

The interaction between BSA and synthesizing molecule can provide insights into binding affinity, conformational changes and potential applications in drug delivery or biochemistry. The interaction between BSA and L was studied by using UV-Vis and fluorescence titration analysis.

In the case of heart failure, a significant upsurge in NEP activity and expression enhances the degradation of natriuretic peptides. Therefore, NEP inhibitors have gained attention in the field of cardiology.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTAR DNA binding protein 43 (TDP-43) is a nuclear RNA/DNA-binding protein with pivotal roles in RNA-related processes such as splicing, transcription, transport, and stability. The high binding affinity and specificity of TDP-43 toward its cognate RNA sequences (GU-rich) is mediated by highly conserved residues in its tandem RNA recognition motif (RRM) domains (aa: 104-263). Importantly, the loss of RNA binding to the tandem RRMs caused by physiological stressors and chemical modifications promotes cytoplasmic mislocalization and pathological aggregation of TDP-43.

Recently, the paucity of interstitial cells of Cajal (ICC) at the narrow adynamic part of UPJ has been implicated as a causative factor.
Materials And Methods: This prospective study was conducted between October 2019 and March 2022 to find out the density of ICC by the immunohistochemical method using CD117 (c-kit) antibody, in resected segments of UPJ in obstruction patients and in renal tumour patients as control.
A lack of consumption of a diversified diet is associated with poor physical and cognitive development in children. Evidence on the relationship between minimum dietary diversity (MDD) and childhood malnutrition remains inconclusive in India. We hypothesized that children aged 6 to 23 months on a diversified diet (five out of eight defined foods and beverages) are less likely to be malnourished (stunting, wasting, and underweight) compared to their counterparts who are not on a diversified diet.

Objectives: Combined Apgar score includes utilization of interventions such as ontinuous positive airway pressure, xygen, ask and Bag ventilation ntubation and ventilation onatal chest compression, rugs, and newborn assessment. It has been proposed as a substitute for conventional Apgar score which is the gold standard for evaluating newborns right after birth but is impacted by medical interventions and preterm. Combined Apgar scores were examined to check for correlation with CTG tracing and umbilical cord blood parameters which gives an objective assessment of fetal hypoxia, in response to the demand for a more accurate tool for evaluating the neonate and to be used for medico-legal purposes.
