We previously tested the hypothesis that such exposure impairs the pathways of specialized proresolving mediators that are critical for resolution and found declined Lipoxin A4 (LxA4) and Resolvin E2 (RvE2) levels in the "at-risk" pups of exposed mothers. Here, we hypothesized that supplementation with synthetic LxA4 or RvE2 via the airway can ameliorate AI after allergen exposure, which has not been tested in models with environmental toxicant triggers.
