Background: Efficacy data on nonpharmacotherapy-based interventions such as cognitive retraining and mindfulness meditation on improving neuropsychological functioning in early Alzheimer's disease (AD) are sparse in Indian literature.

Objective: The objective of the study was to quantify the effect of cognitive retraining (CR) versus mindfulness training (MT) on neuropsychological test performance in patients with early AD.

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate differences in functional connectivity (FC) among different resting state networks (RSN) in clinically non-progressive mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and Alzheimer's disease (AD).

Methods: Using 3T MRI acquired resting-state functional MRI (rs-fMRI), we attempted identification of different RSN using independent component analysis (ICA) in amnestic-MCI, convertors to early AD and age-matched cognitively normal healthy controls. Regions of interest (ROI) that showed significant differences in connectivity on group ICA were selected as seeds for seed-voxel analysis.

Purpose: To assess visual associative learning and famous face recognition ability among subjects with stable amnestic mild cognitive impairment (MCI) relative to early stage dementia due to Alzheimer's disease (AD) and cognitively normal healthy controls (NC) and to correlate these differences with volumetric changes on MRI.
