The study aimed to investigate the potential of hesperetin-loaded chitosan nanoparticles (HSPCNPs) in alleviating hyperglycemia by modulating key enzymes in diabetic rats. Chitosan nanoparticles loaded with hesperetin were prepared using the ionic gelation method and characterized with Electron microscope (SEM), zeta potential, particle size analysis, Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR), Energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and Encapsulation efficiency and Loading efficiency. To induce diabetes, rats were fed a high-fat beef tallow diet for 28 days, then given a single dose of streptozotocin (STZ) at 35 mg/kg b.

Background: Neonates at risk of hypoglycemia are often roomed in with mothers, but there is paucity of literature on the occurrence of hypoglycemia in these exclusively breastfed high-risk neonates. The primary objective was to estimate the incidence of hypoglycaemia in high-risk neonates on exclusive breastfeeding. The secondary objectives were to study the time of presentation, symptoms of hypoglycaemia, and the various maternal and neonatal risk factors.

"Shunt Pumping Test": role of practice on an experimental model.

Purpose: To ascertain the benefits of practicing shunt pumping test on a validated experimental model.

Methods: A validated experimental model of shunt was used and 25 medical professionals were asked to assess the block in the model where artificial blocks were created. The assessment was repeated after the participants had practiced on the same model.

Drug-induced liver injury (DILI) presents as a broad spectrum of adverse drug reactions which can range from a mild elevation in liver enzymes to fulminant liver failure. A conserved hypothetical protein, Sll1130, is a novel transcription factor that regulates the expression of major heat-responsive genes in Synechocystis sp. PCC6803. Synechocystis exhibited an increased thermotolerance due to disruption of sll1130.

Early awareness of predisposing conditions and early diagnosis leads to better outcomes in PPHN.
