PEG10 resembles both retrotransposon and retroviral proteins and forms virus-like particles (VLPs) that can be purified using iodixanol ultracentrifugation. It is hypothesized that formation of VLPs is crucial to the biological roles of PEG10 in reproduction and neurological health.

Many studies have reported the role of P-glycoprotein (Pgp) in chemoresistance in various pathological conditions such as cancer and neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's. In this study, we are reporting the high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)-based purification of fluorine-18 [F]AVT-011 and its preclinical evaluation. Diclofenac is a hepatotoxic non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that affects liver histology and its protein expression levels.
