Jaw-opening oromandibular dystonia (O-OMD) is a clinical subtype of OMD, commonly resistant to treatment. Here, we report a distinct case of tardive O-OMD with a characteristic sensory trick, successfully treated with high-dose botulinum toxin (BTX) injection. A 34-year-old male patient presented with involuntary jaw opening, tongue protrusion, dysarthria, and mild cervical dystonia.

We performed this study to compare the sensitivity and specificity of multi-slice computed tomography (MSCT) to coronary angiography (CA) in detecting coronary total occlusion (CTO) lesion characteristics. Moreover, we analyzed the association between these characteristics and the risk of revascularization failure. Fifty patients with confirmed CTO diagnosis were tried for revascularization using the antegrade (all 50) or retrograde (in failed nine antegrade interventions) approaches.

Objective: A systematic review and meta-analysis of published randomized controlled trials was performed to update the present evidence about the safety and efficacy of dexamethasone combined with other antiemetics versus single antiemetics for the prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting after laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

Methods: A computer literature search of PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science and Embase was conducted to identify the relevant randomized controlled trials. In addition, a manual search of reference lists of the retrieved articles was conducted.
