BACKGROUND This cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) endodontics study aimed to compare the canal-centering ability and canal transportation of Edgefile X7 and HyFlex EDM files in moderately curved mesiobuccal (MB) root canals of 30 mandibular first permanent molar teeth. MATERIAL AND METHODS Thirty permanent mandibular first molars with 10° and 24° of mesial root curvature were selected and scanned with CBCT. Two experimental groups of 15 each were made: group I: HyFlex EDM, and group II: Edgefile X7.

Objectives: The objective of this in vitro study was to evaluate the effects of different preparation designs on the mean colour change (ΔE), marginal adaptation, fracture resistance, and fracture types of maxillary and mandibular premolar endocrowns (ECs).

Methodology: A total of 40 extracted maxillary and mandibular premolars were treated endodontically, and each type was subdivided according to the remaining axial height (remaining walls on all surfaces; 2-4 mm) and 2 mm inside the pulp chamber. Specimens were immersed in coffee for 14 days, ΔE was determined, marginal adaptation was observed, fracture forces test was conducted, and the samples were examined visually at 10× magnification to evaluate failure type and identify fracture origin.

BACKGROUND Healthcare providers, particularly in dentistry and medicine, experience high stress levels, exacerbated by factors like patient anxiety, clinical work, and continuous training. The COVID-19 pandemic has further increased these risks. This study aimed to assess depression, anxiety, and stress (DAS) among dental and medical practitioners in Saudi Arabia, investigating influential factors on their psychological behavior.

Aim: The root morphology and canal configuration (RMCC) of mandibular and maxillary canines among Saudi population is systematically reviewed and compared with international studies in this research.

Methods: This study was carried out following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses recommendations. The electronic databases of PubMed, Science Direct, Scopus, Wiley Library, Google website search, and Web of Science were searched.

Article Synopsis
  • - This study reviewed root canal morphology in permanent mandibular teeth across various regions of Saudi Arabia, following PRISMA guidelines to collect and analyze data from multiple databases like Web of Science, Scopus, and PubMed.
  • - It focused on several key factors including the number of roots and canals, and classified them according to Vertucci's system, finding that most mandibular incisors and canines typically have one canal, while molars can have up to four canals.
  • - The findings showed variations in canal configurations across different regions but collectively represent the root canal anatomy of the Saudi population, with specific types such as C-shaped canals and mid-mesial canals observed in a smaller percentage of teeth.

BACKGROUND Dental anxiety can impact oral health and dental treatment in patients of all age groups, which seems to be an obstacle to quality dental care. This systematic review of the literature aimed to evaluate the findings from cross-sectional studies conducted in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) on levels of dental anxiety (DA) between genders and among various demographic groups. MATERIAL AND METHODS An electronic search of PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science databases was carried out in January 2022.
