Methods: Here, we sequenced 37 isolates of , 10 , and 5 collected from the biobank of the hospital setting of the King Fahad Medical City. Complete phenotypic analyses were performed, including MALDI-TOF identification and antibiotic susceptibility testing.
Inflammation is pivotal to the pathogenesis of diabetes mellitus (DM), but pathological alterations of the neutrophil−lymphocyte ratio (NLR), an emerging inflammatory index in DM management, remains understudied. The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between NLR and glycemic control in the Saudi population. Gender, age, WBC count, and fasting blood glucose (FBG) were obtained from Al-Borg Medical Laboratories for 14,205 subjects.

Background: The role of fluorodeoxyglucose-positron emission tomography/computed tomography (FDG-PET/CT) in indolent lymphoma has been minimally studied.
Objective: This study aims to assess the value of FDG-PET/CT in predicting the prognosis of indolent lymphoma.
Methods: We prospectively recruited 42 patients with indolent lymphoma.
In this descriptive cross-sectional study we aimed, to assess the level of depression, anxiety, insomnia and distress symptoms experienced by healthcare providers during the COVID-19 pandemic in Saudi Arabia. All healthcare providers currently working in different hospitals were invited to participate in this study. Data gathering started in March 2020 to May 2020.

Unlabelled: Home demolition is considered a miserable and frequent reality of life for thousands of Palestinian people. Recently, in January 2020, at least 44 structures were demolished by Israeli forces, displacing at least 87 people. Studies have revealed high levels of stress was associated with losing a family home during home demolition, and the stress doesn't only carry out immediate effects but also long-term mental consequences.

Genome-wide association studies and meta-analyses have found that the single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) rs1387153 and rs10830963 of the melatonin receptor 1B ( MTNR1B) gene are associated with GDM. No studies on the MTNR1B gene effect on GDM have been performed in Saudis, other Arabs, or other Middle Eastern populations.

Importantly, exploring the potential of helminths for therapeutic uses was one of the reasons behind understanding the physiological and immunological crosstalk existing between them. Here we discuss the interactive immunological associations of helminths and microbial responses individually and in combination with their hosts.

The well-aligned and high density ZnO NRs were synthesized on an FTO/glass substrate by a sol-gel and hydrothermal growth method. A dip-coating technique was utilized to modify the surface of the as-grown ZnO NRs with FeO.

The present study evaluates the synergistic effect of sulbactam/tazobactam in combination with meropenem or colistin against multidrug resistant (MDR) Acinetobacter baumannii isolated from hospitalized patients from a tertiary care hospital in Saudi Arabia. During the study period, 54 multidrug and carbapenem-resistant isolates of A. baumannii isolates were collected from blood and respiratory samples of patients with ventilator-associated pneumonia or bacteremia.

The aim of this study was to characterize the prevalence of fecal carriage of extended spectrum beta lactamases (ESBLs) and carbapenemase producing gram-negative bacteria among 150 neonates who were born in two hospitals in central Saudi Arabia.
Patients And Methods: From June 2012 to January 2013, 150 healthy neonates.
A glucose electrochemical sensor based on zinc oxide (ZnO) nanorods was investigated. The hydrothermal sol-gel growth method was utilized to grow ZnO nanorods on indium tin oxide-coated glass substrates. The total active area of the working electrode was 0.

Toxins such as vacuolating cytotoxin, encoded by the vacA gene and the immunogenic protein cagA, encoded by the cagA gene (cytotoxin-associated gene) are major factors conferring the property of virulence. The current study is aimed at isolation of H.

Phenylalanine arginine beta-naphthylamide assay (PABN) inhibitor-based test was done on isolates in which the mechanism of resistance was not identifiable by the ROSCO. Among 105 selected isolates, carbapenemase production was noted in 100 (95%) by MHT and ROSCO showed 97 (92·4%) inhibition with dipicolinic acid signifying the production of MBL.
