Objectives: To compare the efficacy of intrathecal fentanyl and dorsal penile nerve block for postoperative pain management in patients undergoing inflatable penile prosthesis (IPP).
Patients And Methods: A prospective single-center study included 80 patients amenable to IPP. Patients were divided equally into two groups.
Diabetes is a known inducer of hepatic ultrastructural alterations, and the expression of the immune biomarker that involves in T-cell immunity, cluster of differentiation 86 (CD86) is increased in diabetic patients with liver cirrhosis. The antidiabetic drug metformin has not previously been used to protect against type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM)-induced alternations in hepatic ultrastructure and the induction of the hepatic CD86/inflammation axis in diabetic animal models induced by streptozotocin and a high fat diet. To test our hypotheses, T2DM was induced in rats (model group) and the protective animals were treated with the antidiabetic drug metformin (200 mg/kg) until being sacrificed at week 12.

The discovery of cancer-specific biomarkers has resulted in major advancements in the field of cancer diagnostics and therapeutics, therefore significantly lowering cancer-related morbidity and mortality. Cancer biomarkers can be generally classified as prognostic biomarkers that predict specific disease outcomes and predictive biomarkers that predict disease response to targeted therapeutic interventions. As research in the area of predictive biomarkers continues to grow, precision medicine becomes far more integrated in cancer treatment.

We report a case of scalp metastasis from RCC in a 69-year-old man who presented with unexplained weight loss and painless hematuria. Imaging revealed a 12-cm renal mass with adrenal, pulmonary, and scalp metastases.
