Background: Intraluminal thrombus (ILT) of the cervical arteries is an uncommon finding that can lead to acute or recurrent ischemic stroke. Currently, antithrombotic therapy in the form of antiplatelet and/or anticoagulation is considered the mainstay of treatment, but evidence of which one has a better outcome is lacking.

Methods: A retrospective cohort study included 28 patients diagnosed with acute stroke or transient ischemic attack with ILT of the extracranial arteries from 2013 to 2022.

Solid-state NMR is a nondestructive and noninvasive technique used to study the chemical structure and dynamics of starch-based materials and to bridge the gap between structure-function relationships and industrial applications. The study of crystallinity, chemical modification, product blending, molecular packing, amylose-amylopectin ratio, end chain motion, and solvent-matrix interactions is essential for tailoring starch product properties to various applications. This article aims to provide a comprehensive and critical review of research characterizing starch-based materials using solid-state NMR, and to briefly introduce the most advanced and promising NMR strategies and hardware designs used to overcome the sensitivity and resolution issues involved in structure-function relationships.

The objective of this study was to administer line bisection (LB) and symbol cancellation (SC) tasks on a sample of healthy Arabs in Saudi Arabia, to determine if normative performance would differ from that of the Western population. A total of 136 healthy individuals were enrolled. Deviation direction from the veridical center and percentage deviation scores (PDS) were determined for LB.
