Background: This study aimed to assess the effect of new package of interventions on scientific productions rate in Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences.
Methods: Through a health system research, we extracted policies from the strategic plan of the university and 10 interventions were developed to increase the scientific productions in terms of quality, quantity and commercialization and to develop infrastructure for research in health service provision and education. For evaluating the effectiveness of interventions, citation and publication indicators for individuals and schools were analyzed using descriptive statistics and t-test.
Background: The aim of this study was to determine characteristics of patients with sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) and/or sudden cardiac death (SCD). We need an effective risk stratification method for SCD in patients without low left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF).
Methods: The study population of this cross-sectional study consisted of 241 patients with SCA or SCD who were admitted to an academic hospital, in Tehran, Iran, from 2011 through 2012.
Purpose: Hot flashes are common experience for menopausal women, and for many, are severe enough to significantly compromise their overall sense of well being and quality of life. The aim of this study was to compare the efficacy of evening primrose with placebo in improvement of menopausal hot flashes.
Methods: In a 6-week randomized clinical trial, a total of 56 menopausal women aged 45-59 years were participated in this study.
