Introduction: is a gram-negative spiral bacterium that is frequently found in the human stomach. Significant association has been reported between Cytotoxin associated gene A (CagA)- positive strains and coronary heart disease. The aim of the present study is to investigate the carotid intima-media thickness as an indicator of atherosclerosis in people with infection.
