Purpose: Multiligament knee injuries (MLKIs) involve various ligaments in the knee. Current double-bundle anatomical reconstructions of the medial collateral ligament (MCL) increase the level of technical complexity, often resulting in the establishment of numerous bone tunnels and different fixation points with additional hardware. To overcome these limitations, we proposed a novel minimally invasive nonanatomical MCL reconstruction with one tibial tunnel in the metaphysis using Achilles allograft in the MLKI setting.

This study was conducted involving type III or IV Silence OI patients who underwent treatment with SDFIN for fractures, deformity correction, or previous device failure. The surgical technique involved the insertion of two straight flexible intramedullary nails in each bone segment, with one inserted from the caudal epiphysis and the other from the proximal region.

We operated on 15 cases of PLF using a direct lateral approach. This study aims to report on clinical results.

Methods: A total of 48 sport and vehicle accident traumatic patients were enrolled in a three-year follow-up study. The patients were investigated by clinical exams, subjective and objective International Knee Documentation Committee (IKDC) score, Tegner score, Lysholm score, and stress imaging.
Posterolateral corner (PLC) injuries represent a complex injury pattern whose repair is essential for varus and rotational stability of the knee. Several surgical techniques have been described for PLC injuries, which can be divided into 2 main groups: anatomical and nonanatomical. Due to insufficiency of posterior stabilization of nonanatomic procedure, LaPrade represented an anatomical reconstruction.

Reduction and fixation were done with screws or plates. We assessed range of motion, grip strength, Mayo score, possible nerve damage and cosmesis.

Current treatment approaches have focused on controlling the OA symptoms, pain, and inflammation. Recently, cell-based therapies, including the application of stem cells such as mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), have been introduced for restoration of the articular cartilage.

We evaluated 229 patients with osteoarthritic varus knee who underwent primary TKA, prospectively. They were categorized in three groups based on the extent of medial soft tissue release that performed during TKA Group 1, osteophytes removal and release of the deep MCL and posteromedial capsule (stage 1); Group 2, the release of the semimembranosus (stage 2); and Group 3, release of the superficial MCL (stage 3) and/or the pes anserinus (stage 4).

We sought to evaluate the independent predictive factors of anterolateral ligament injury in the patients with anterior cruciate ligament tear. Ultrasound scan has an emerging role in the diagnosis of anterolateral ligament injury.

Methods: During our single-masked randomized clinical trial, the candidates with symptomatic knee osteoarthritis received two intra-articular injections of PRGF with 3 weeks apart or received three weekly injections of HA. The mean improvements from before treatment until the second, sixth, and twelfth months post-intervention in scores obtained by visual analog scale (VAS), Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC), and Lequesne index were our primary outcomes.
The present study aimed to compare the oblique and vertical incisions in hamstring tendon harvesting in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction and in infrapatellar branch injury of the saphenous nerve. The present study was conducted at a tertiary referral center for 12 months. Patients with an indication of reconstruction of ACL tear were included in the study, who were then randomized into two groups (vertical [VG] and oblique [OG] groups).

Methods: In a consecutive case series study, 24 patients with acute AT rupture underwent modified minimally invasive AT repair using two mini-incisions and gift box sutures.
Background: Due to the obvious differences in the natural course of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and osteoarthritis (OA), different functional outcomes might be expected after Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) in these distinct patients. Although several studies have reported the objective outcome of TKA in RA and OA patients, few studies have compared post-operative patient-satisfaction levels.
Methods: In this clinical cohort study 171 patients (RA: n=33, OA: n=138) who underwent TKA with posterior stabilizing knee prosthesis were included.
Revision anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction is a technically demanding enterprise. Management of widened or previously malpositioned tunnels is challenging and often requires innovative approaches. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the function and clinical results of revision single-stage ACL surgery using an anterolateral tibial tunnel (ALTT).

Associated soft tissue injury is an important factor in choosing treatment options. Two major methods of treatment are considered as one-stage open reduction internal fixation (ORIF) and two-stage treatment (primary external fixation and secondary ORIF).

Optimal management of patients with severe gonarthrosis of the knee and concurrent tibial stress fracture is not known yet. In this study we report the outcome of primary total knee arthroplasty (TKA) using stemmed components in elderly patients.

Objective: To evaluate the levels of IL-6 in patients with multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS).
Methods: Level of IL-6 was assessed and recorded for 14 days subsequent to the injury in 161 multiple trauma patients.
Objective: The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of intramedullary nailing (IMN), open plating and percutaneous plating on the induction of IL-6 in patients with tibia fractures.
Methods: A total of 30 patients with tibia shaft fracture underwent either intramedullary nailing (IMN, n = 15; 14 males and 1 female; mean age: 32.1 ± 15.
Background: Tibial plateau fractures can be successfully fixed utilizing 3.5 mm locking plates. However, there are some disadvantages to using these plates.

It happens since the geometry of the proximal femur determines how a force is applied to its different parts. In this study, we have compared proximal femur's geometric characteristics in femoral neck (FNF), intertrochanteric (ITF) and Subtrochanteric (STF) fractures.
