This study explores the corrosion resistance and antibacterial properties of a PTFE + TiO/Ag coating applied to 316 L stainless steel. To enhance adhesion, a polydopamine interlayer was chemically deposited onto the steel surface. The PTFE + TiO coating was subsequently applied through immersion, followed by the deposition of silver nanoparticles using a chemical method.

FTIR spectra and XRD patterns confirmed the synthesis of TiO and AgPO nanoparticles and nanocomposite coating. FESM and AFM images show that with the increase of AgPO nanoparticles, the roughness of coatings increased (Ra and Rq for adding 7 wt% of AgPO coating was 29 and 293 nm).
