Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a leading cause of cancer mortality globally. Most patients present with late diagnosis, leading to poor prognosis. This narrative review explores novel biomarkers for early HCC detection.

Background And Study Aims: Diet is an important underlying factor in ulcerative colitis (UC) disease. The present study aimed to investigate the effect of a gluten-free diet (GFD) on disease severity, quality of life, and inflammatory markers in patients with UC.

Patients And Methods: In this triple-blind randomized placebo-controlled clinical trial, we evaluated the effect of a GFD on the erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), C-reactive protein (CRP), fecal calprotectin, disease severity, and quality of life in patients with mild to moderate UC.

There are significant ethnic disparities in incidence, tumor stage, curative therapy receipt, and survival among patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in the US. While previous models had predicted an increasing trend in the incidence rate of HCC until 2030 in the US, recent studies have shown that HCC incidence plateaued in 2013 and then started to decline in 2015. The decreasing trend has been observed in all ethnicities except for American Indians/Alaska Natives, whose incidence rates of HCC continue to rise.

Effects of neurofeedback on the short-term memory and continuous attention of patients with moderate traumatic brain injury: A preliminary randomized controlled clinical trial.

Purpose: There are some studies which showed neurofeedback therapy (NFT) can be effective in clients with traumatic brain injury (TBI) history. However, randomized controlled clinical trials are still needed for evaluation of this treatment as a standard option. Alcohol consumption for simulated driving performance: A systematic review.

Purpose: Alcohol consumption can lead to risky driving and increase the frequency of traffic accidents, injuries and mortalities. The main purpose of our study was to compare simulated driving performance between two groups of drivers, one consumed alcohol and the other not consumed, using a systematic review.

Methods: In this systematic review, electronic resources and databases including Medline via Ovid SP, EMBASE via Ovid SP, PsycINFO via Ovid SP, PubMed, Scopus, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINHAL) via EBSCOhost were comprehensively and systematically searched.
