Breastfeeding provides significant health benefits for both infants and mothers, but many women discontinue earlier than recommended. This study investigates the factors contributing to early breastfeeding cessation among Arab women in Israel, focusing on multiple factors, such as socio-demographic, work-related, cultural, and religious, impacting breastfeeding duration and shaping breastfeeding practices. : A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 349 Arab women, 65% of whom were Muslim and 35% Christian.

Supercontinuum generation in a methane-filled hollow-core antiresonant fiber.

We report the generation of a multi-octave supercontinuum spanning from 350 nm to 1700 nm with exceptional spectral flatness and high conversion efficiency to both visible and near-infrared regions, by pumping a methane-filled hollow-core antiresonant fiber with 1030 nm laser pulses. The dynamics exhibited signs of both modulational instability (MI) and stimulated Raman scattering (SRS). Fiber lengths ranging from 15 cm to 200 cm were investigated along with gas pressures up to 50 bar and pump pulse durations from 220 fs up to 10 ps.

Layer-by-Layer Coating of Single-Cell to Increase Viability Under Simulated Gastrointestinal Conditions and Use in Film Formation.

Probiotics and prebiotics are widely used as functional food ingredients. Viability of probiotics in the food matrix and further in the digestive system is still a challenge for the food industry. Different approaches were used to enhance the viability of probiotics including microencapsulation and layer-by-layer cell coating.
