Background: Assessing gender disparity in mental health is crucial for targeted interventions. This study aims to quantify gender disparities in mental health burdens, specifically anxiety and depression, and related care-seeking behaviors across various sociodemographic factors in Nepal, highlighting the importance of gender-specific mental health interventions.
Methods: Data from the 2022 Nepal Demographic and Health Survey was utilized, employing the Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7 scale (GAD-7) and Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) scales for anxiety and depression symptoms, respectively.

Data of this article describes growth, survival rate, water quality and hemato-biochemical indices of Nile Tilapia () fry. To collect the data, the Nile Tilapia fry was reared in 30 L glass aquarium (18 fish/ tank) for 56-days under controlled environmental condition. Feed was prepared with 25 and 50% replacement of commercial fish meal with sp.

The drug repurposing concept has been utilized effectively for numerous viral infections. Considering the situation and the urgency, the idea of drug repurposing for coronavirus infection (COVID-19) is also being studied.

Protease produced through fermentation of organic MSW by these bacteria under some optimized physicochemical parameters was partially purified and characterized. The estimated molecular mass of the partially purified protease from and was approximately 25 and 38 kDa, respectively.

The PC waveguide is integrated on a silicon substrate. We investigate the effect of non-uniform strain localization on the optical signal and use that information to capture the transient strain.

Visceral leishmaniasis (kala-azar) continues to be a major rural public health problem in Bangladesh. A cross-sectional study was carried out in two subdistricts of Mymensingh district from January 2006 to June 2007 to evaluate the delay kala-azar treatment. Suspected patients who attended to out patient department (OPD) were subjected to a dipstick test (RK39) for kala-azar.

GNPs were first electrodeposited onto a clean glassy carbon (GC) electrode and these GNPs were used as seeds. Seed-mediated growth of the electrodeposited GNPs was performed in a solution of H[AuCl(4)] at various pHs (5.

The Au(111)-like surface was achieved for the first time by the partial reductive desorption of n-butanethiol (n-BT) from polycrystalline gold (poly-Au), on which a self-assembled monolayer (SAM) of n-BT was formed previously, which allows the selective blockage of the Au(100) and Au(110) surface domains by n-BT while the Au(111) domain remains bare. Square wave anodic stripping voltammetry (SWASV) using the Au(111)-like poly-Au electrode confirms the successful detection of As(III) without any interference from Cu(II).

The PPS-modified electrodes were prepared by electropolymerization of phenosafranin onto different carbon substrates (glassy carbon (GC) and basal-plane pyrolytic graphite (BPPG)) in different electrolytic solutions. The formal potential was estimated to be -0.

A series of two-electron (2e) and one-electron (1e) reductions of the [Au(III)Cl(4)](-) to [Au(I)Cl(2)](-) and [Au(I)Cl(2)](-) to Au metal were recognized at the Pt surface. Besides, the disproportionation reaction of [Au(I)Cl(2)](-) (i.

Background: The World Health Organization recommends dry cord care for newborns but this recommendation may not be optimal in low resource settings where most births take place in an unclean environment and infections account for up to half of neonatal deaths. A previous trial in Nepal indicated that umbilical cord cleansing with 4.0% chlorhexidine could substantially reduce mortality and omphalitis risk, but policy changes await additional community-based data.
