The improper use of antibiotics and their discharge into the environment can have serious and hazardous consequences. The purpose of this research is to synthesize an activated carbon impregnated magnetite composite (PAC/Fe), prepare PAC/Fe/Ag/Zn nanocomposites, and innovate by simultaneously synthesizing two metals, zinc and silver, on magnetically activated carbon and check its ability to remove azithromycin antibiotic (AZT) from an aqueous solution via UV system. PAC/Fe/Ag/Zn nanocomposites were characterized by various techniques including XRD, FESEM, and EDX.

Due to this fact and also with the aim of developing the chemistry of potentially bioactive heterocyclic compounds via efficient reactions, a facile procedure for the synthesis of 9-(alkylthio)-acenaphtho[1,2-e]-1,2,4-triazines via two step condensation of thiosemicarbazide and acenaphtylene-9,10-quinone to form acenaphtho[1,2-e]-1,2,4-triazine-9(8H)-thiones and subsequent reaction with benzyl chloride derivatives is reported.
Methods: 9-(alkylthio) acenaphtho[1,2-e]-1,2,4-triazines were synthesized via the reaction of acenaphtho-9,10-quinone with thiosemicarbazide, and then with the benzyl chloride derivatives.
Isatin is an important compound from the biological aspect of view. It is an endogenous substance and moreover; various pharmacological activities have been reported for isatin and its derivatives. In-vitro cytotoxic effects of the prepared isatin Schiff bases toward HeLa, LS180 and Raji human cancer cell lines has been reported in our previous work.

In today's practice, all burn wounds unlikely to achieve spontaneous closure within 3 weeks are excised and grafted. Early studies did not demonstrate dramatic differences in cosmetic or functional results.

Excellent yields of the products and simple work-up are attractive features of this green protocol. Then, the cytotoxic activities of these compounds were evaluated on five different human cancerous cell lines (Raji, HeLa, LS-180, SKOV-3 and MCF7).

Because propranolol decreases energy expenditure and muscle protein catabolism, in this study, we hypothesized that propranolol would improve healing process and decrease wound-healing time. This study was a double-blind randomized clinical trial; a total of 79 burn patients who referred to this center from January 2006 to January 2007 fulfilled the inclusion criteria.
