Sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors improve cardiovascular outcomes post-acute coronary syndrome complicated by acute heart failure.

Background: Acute coronary syndrome (ACS) remains a risk factor for heart failure (HF). Therefore, we aimed to assess the cardioprotective role of sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitors post-ACS in patients with acute HF (AHF) and diabetes.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective observational cohort study employing propensity score matching.

Background: Avascular necrosis (AVN) is a debilitating complication in sickle cell disease (SCD) patients, and its management is usually challenging. This study aims to evaluate the clinical and epidemiological features and therapeutic options of AVN in sickle cell patients in Qatar.

Patients And Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on a 49 SCD patients who were diagnosed with AVN and attended the hematology clinic at the National Center for Cancer care & research, Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar between Jan-2011 to Jan2021.

Quality of life in hemodialysis diabetic patients: a multicenter cross-sectional study from Palestine.

Background: Both diabetes and hemodialysis can seriously impair patients' health related quality of life (HRQOL). This study seeks to obtain data which will help to address the factors associated with impaired HRQOL in hemodialysis patients with diabetes in Palestine.
