Article Synopsis
  • - The study focuses on creating a stationary phase using a deep eutectic solvent (DES) and examines its thermodynamic properties and effectiveness in separating different compounds.
  • - Various analytical methods like TGA, SEM, and FTIR were used to characterize the synthesized stationary phase, along with measuring key thermodynamic parameters at different loading amounts and temperatures.
  • - The results indicated that the stationary phase could effectively separate compounds like BTEXs and alcohols due to strong hydrogen bonding interactions, particularly highlighting the improved performance when combined with carbowax.

In this research 1, 10 - phenanthroline functionalized CaFeO - starch was employed as a magnetic ion-imprinted polymer (IIP) for highly selective targeting toxic Pb ions from aqueous media. VSM analysis revealed that the sorbent has magnetic saturation of 10 emu g which is appropriate for magnetic separation. Moreover, TEM analysis confirmed that the adsorbent is composed of particles with a mean diameter of 10 nm.

Cadmium is very toxic for living organisms hence selective and efficient control capturing of it is necessary. To reach this goal a novel imprinted polymer was developed using melamine anchored MnFeO - cellulose. Magnetic cellulose was synthesized through an ultrasound-assisted precipitation route.

In the present study, the partitioning of α-lactalbumin, β-lactoglobulin, and cheese whey proteins in aqueous two-phase system of polyvinylpyrrolidone-potassium phosphate is investigated. The partitioning of proteins in this system depends on the polymer and salt weight percents in feed, temperature, and pH. The orthogonal central composite design is used to study the effects of different parameters on partitioning of α-lactalbumin and β-lactoglobulin.
