Variations in enamel damage after debonding of two different bracket base designs: An in vitro study.

Bracket base design is a factor influencing shear bond strength. High shear bond strength leads to enamel crack formation during debonding. The aim of this study was to compare enamel damage variations, including the number and length of enamel cracks after debonding of two different base designs.

Prevalence of Dental Malocclusions in Patients admitted to the Department of Orthodontics, School of Dentistry, Tabriz, in 2016.

Aim: This study is aimed at investigating the prevalence of disorders among patients referred to Tabriz Dental School in 2016.

Materials And Methods: This research was conducted in a cross-section method and taken from all patients admitted during this period. Classification of dental occlusion in patients was based on Angle's definition, skeletal classification was based on Steiner's analysis, and overjet and overbite values and other patient-related information were imported from the records in the extractive sector and in specific forms.

Soft Tissue Cephalometric Standards based on NHP in a Sample of Iranian Adults.

Background And Aims: This study aimed to establish soft tissue cephalometric standards in Iranian adults based on NHP, which can be used in diagnosis of orthodontic and orthognathic patients.

Materials And Methods: A group of 46 individuals (24 males and 22 females) with normal occlusion and proportional facial profile were chosen from a large group of dental students. For the all of the chosen sample, lateral cephalograms were obtained with head oriented in natural position.

Prevalence of Malocclusion in 13-15 Year-old Adolescents in Tabriz.

Background And Aims: Malocclusion with its great hazardous effects seems to have become more prevalent in recent decades; therefore, the present study was carried out to assess the prevalence of different malocclusions among 13-15 year-old adolescents in Tabriz.

Materials And Methods: The subjects in the present study consisted of 398 adolescents aged 13-15, who were randomly selected from 5 different districts of the city. Students who had previous orthodontic treatment or extraction of any permanent teeth were excluded from the study.
