Dry eye syndrome (DES) is a tear film disorder caused by increased tear evaporation or decreased production. The heavy workload on the eye and the increased usage of digital screens may decrease blink frequency, leading to an increased evaporation rate and an upsurge in the incidence and severity of DES. This study aims to assess the severity of DES symptoms and the risk factors among university students.

Background: Different treatment modalities are available for obesity management, including lifestyle changes, pharmacotherapy, endoscopic interventions, and surgeries. Limited evidence is available on the weight loss effect of combining glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) with endoscopic bariatric therapy (EBT) and bariatric surgeries (BS).

Objectives: In this systematic review, we compared the weight loss effect and metabolic changes of combining GLP-1 RAs with EBT and BS.

Food allergy is a serious and potentially life-threatening medical condition that affects both adults and children.
