Objective: The aim of this study was to analyze the functional polymorphism of exon 3 of the gene of complement component C3 (rs 2230199) to identify the potential involvement of the mutated gene C3F in the genesis of pre-eclampsia.
Materiel And Methods: It is a comparative case-control study conducted in the university center of maternity and neonatology of Monastir with collaboration of high institute of biotechnology (Tunisia) on a period of 2 years. Two hundred and fifty patients and 96 newborns divided into pre-eclampsia group (150 parturients with pre-eclampsia and 48 newborns) and control group (100 parturients with normal pregnancy and their 48 infants) are taken.
Aim: The tumor necrosis factor receptor 2 (TNFR2) is expressed in placental tissue and it is involved in immune responses, inflammation, angiogenesis and blood pressure regulation; which makes it an attractive pre-eclampsia (PE) candidate gene. Furthermore, TNFR2 expression is altered in the first trimester in placentas of women who are destined to develop PE. Therefore, we examined the association between maternal and fetal genetic variants of TNFR2 and PE.

Skin involvement is a late complication that rarely occurs in ovarian cancer patients. This event invariably carries a bad prognosis in the course of an advanced stage ovarian carcinoma which is usually of the conventional serous type. Micropapillary serous carcinoma (MPSC) was recently recognized as a distinct neoplasm that seems to be less aggressive than conventional serous ovarian carcinoma.

Methods: from case-control study of 400 Tunisian pregnant women (200 in group diabetes and 200 in group control) seen over a 5-year period for medical management, women who had a cesarean section were identified and the reason for the section determined from a review of the medical record. A control group of women who had a section were obtained from an existing data-base of glucose-tolerant women.
Objective: To compare the efficacy and safety of intravaginal misoprostol versus dinoprostone cervical gel for cervical ripening and labour induction.
Methods: We carried out an experimental clinical trial in which we enrolled 130 cervical consecutive patients with cervical ripening, randomly assigned to one of the following two treatment groups: (1) intravaginal misoprostol and (2) intracervical dinoprostone gel. A total of 50 microm of misoprostol was placed in the posterior vaginal fornix every 6 h for a maximum period of 24 h and 0.
The serous detachment of the retina is a rare but serious complication of the severe preeclampsia. It's diagnosis rests on the systematic exam of the eye fundus at the time of the stern shapes of preeclampsia and especially at every change of the visual acuteness. Therefore the observed anomalies must be confirmed by the practice of a retina angiography in the following week.
