- Children with NS (both steroid-sensitive and steroid-resistant) were compared to healthy controls for differences in BMD and mineral levels.
- Results showed lower calcium and higher phosphorus, parathyroid hormone, and alkaline phosphatase levels in children with NS, with notable instances of osteopenia and osteoporosis linked to steroid treatment.
