Carious exposure of an irreversibly inflamed vital pulp in a young permanent tooth presents a significant clinical challenge to clinicians to maintain the vitality. Direct pulp capping, partial pulpotomy, and complete pulpotomy are the available procedures to treat young permanent tooth. Mineral trioxide aggregate and biodentine are currently the material of choice for these procedures.
