Background: Vascular abnormalities, including dissections and aneurysms, can be found in patients with autosomal dominant kidney disease (ADPKD). While intracranial aneurysms have been reported in 10%-25% of ADPCKD, occurrences at other locations are exceedingly rare.

Method: This is a first case report of a patient with ADPCKD who presented with a rupture of the left external carotid artery pseudoaneurysm.

Background: One of the main limitations of radiation therapy is the resistance of tumor cells. This study aimed at evaluating the relationship between the expression of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and echinoderm microtubule-associated protein-like 4-anaplastic lymphoma kinase (EML4-ALK) and tumor radiosensitivity in patients with non-small cell lung cancer.

Methods: Medical case files, pathological results for EGFR and EML4-ALK, and computerized tomography scans of patients with NSCLC treated with thoracic radiation therapy were analyzed.

Rheumatic heart disease is a serious ailment with significant morbidity and mortality in endemic areas; yet, there is no agreement on indication, timing, and surgical modality for treating rheumatic valve affection. There is mounting evidence that rheumatic mitral valve repair is possible with good long-term results, less is the case with rheumatic aortic valve disease. We discuss the surgical approach for both valves emphasizing the role of multimodality imaging.
