Breast cancer is the predominant form of cancer among women and ranks as the second most prevalent cancer globally, affecting both developed and less developed countries. Presently, accessible cancer treatment methods either employ recently created, secure, and efficient chemotherapeutic medications or directly target innovative pathways that cause apoptosis. One of the indirect strategies for treating this fatal illness has mostly depended on its essential role in cell cycle arrest and apoptosis induction, as well as the antagonistic interaction between the Bcl-2 and Mcl-1 proteins, in order to avert major health repercussions.

This study describes the development of novel alloxazine analogues as potent antitumor agents with enhanced selectivity for tumour cells. Twenty-nine out of 45 newly compounds were investigated for their growth inhibitory activities, against two human tumour cell lines, namely, the human T-cell acute lymphoblastoid leukaemia cell line (CCRF-HSB-2) and human oral epidermoid carcinoma cell line (KB), and the antitumor agent "Ara-C" was used as a positive reference in this investigation. Compounds and were the highest among their analogues, against both tumour cell lines (CCRF-HSB-2 and KB).

The precise estimation of solar PV cell parameters has become increasingly important as solar energy deployment expands. Due to the intricate and nonlinear characteristics of solar PV cells, meta-heuristic algorithms show greater promise than traditional ones for parameter estimation. This study utilizes the Puffer Fish (PF) meta-heuristic optimization method, inspired by male puffer fish's circular structures, to estimate parameters of a modified four-diode PV cell.

To properly control the network of the power system and ensure its protection, Phasor measurement units (PMUs) must be used to monitor the network's operation. PMUs can provide synchronized real-time measurements. These measurements can be used for state estimation, fault detection and diagnosis, and other grid control applications.

Due to their simplicity, cheapness, and ease of maintenance, induction motors (IMs) are the most widely used motors in the industry. However, if they are not properly controlled, the load torque and motor speed will fluctuate in an unsatisfactory fashion. To effectively control the load torque and speed of these IMs, it is necessary to use specialized drives.

Solar energy, a prominent renewable resource, relies on photovoltaic systems (PVS) to capture energy efficiently. The challenge lies in maximizing power generation, which fluctuates due to changing environmental conditions like irradiance and temperature. Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) techniques have been developed to optimize PVS output.

Significant improvements in battery performance, cost reduction, and energy density have been made since the advancements of lithium-ion batteries. These advancements have accelerated the development of electric vehicles (EVs). The safety and effectiveness of EVs depend on accurate measurement and prediction of the state of health (SOH) of lithium-ion batteries; however, this process is uncertain.

The integration of renewable sources (RSs) and the widespread deployment of electric vehicles (EVs) has transitioned from a luxury to a necessity in modern power systems. This results from the sharp increase in electric power demand and public awareness of switching to green energy. However, in addition to load fluctuations and changes in system parameters, these RSs and EVs negatively impact the load frequency (LF).

During left main (LM) bifurcation PCI using T and small protrusion (TAP) technique, after deployment of LM-left anterior descending (LAD) stent, left circumflex (LCx) stent was entangled at LM ostium with balloon and wire slippage. Ping-pong (dual) guide catheters were used to simultaneously fix the LM-LAD stent and snare the trapped stent. This technique proved effective in retrieving the lost stent and minimizing LM stent deformation.

Inflammation is associated with the development of several diseases comprising cancer and cardiovascular disease. Agents that suppress cyclooxygenase (COX) and lipoxygenase (LOX) enzymes, besides chemokines have been suggested to minimise inflammation. Here, a variety of novel heterocyclic and non-heterocyclic compounds were prepared from novel three furanone derivatives.
