Rabbits are essential for commercial meat production due to their efficient growth and productivity, breeds like New Zealand White (NZW), Californian (CAL), and Gabali (GAB) rabbits offer unique genetic traits in litter, growth, and carcass traits. This study aimed to evaluate heritability (h), genetic and phenotypic correlations (rg and rp) for litter size, body weight and carcass traits across California (CAL), New Zealand white (NZW) and Gabali (GA) rabbits. Along with exploring gene expression profiles of TBC1D1, NPY, AGRP, POMC, Leptin, GH, GHR, IGF-1, CAA, GPR, ACC, CPT1, FAS, and CART in the brain, liver, and meat tissues of different rabbit breeds.

Introduction And Importance: Pelvis reconstruction after tumor resection poses a challenge, especially in younger patients where preserving the patient's function and mobility is paramount.

Case Presentation: A 16 years old female presented in March 2019 with vague right iliac area pain, diagnosed as pelvic Ewing's sarcoma after imaging studies (MRI and MSCT scan) and obtaining an incisional biopsy. After initial chemotherapy cycles, the tumor decreased in size, and surgical intervention in two stages was performed.

Purpose: To predict the most important preoperative factor affecting the patient satisfaction after total knee arthroplasty (TKA) in trial to improve patient counselling process.

Methods: We retrospectively reviewed all patients who underwent primary TKA from January 1, 2018, to January 31, 2019, with minimum one-year follow-up for the previously collected patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) as Oxford Knee Score (OKS) and Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score for joint replacement (KOOS, JR) preoperative, 6 months and 12 months postoperative.

Results: By using Oxford knee score at 12 months as dependent variable, we found a negative moderate spearman correlation between age and Oxford knee score at 12 months postoperative.

New 2-(thiophen-2-yl)-1H-indole derivatives bearing hydrophobic substituents at the 3-position were designed, synthesized and evaluated for their inhibition of HIV-1 reverse transcriptase (RT) enzyme. Dialkylphosphites (2a-c) or trialkylphosphites (3a-c) were reacted with 2-(thiophen-2-yl)-1H-indole-3-carbaldehyde (1) yielding the corresponding α-hydroxyphosphonate adducts (7a-7c). The reaction of compound 1 with the ylidenetriphenylphosphoranes (4a-4c) proceeds via Wittig mechanism giving the corresponding ethylenes (E, 8a-c).

In the present paper, a comparison between five different shell finite elements, including the Linear Triangular Element, Linear Quadrilateral Element, Linear Quadrilateral Element based on deformation modes, 8-node Quadrilateral Element, and 9-Node Quadrilateral Element was presented. The shape functions and the element equations related to each element were presented through a detailed mathematical formulation. Additionally, the Jacobian matrix for the second order derivatives was simplified and used to derive each element's strain-displacement matrix in bending.
