Results showed an increase in the viability of exposed bacteria compared to controls after 9h of exposure. Analysis with gas chromatography of total lipids (TLs) and different fractions of phospholipids: phosphatidylglycerols (PGs), phosphatidylethanolamines (PEs), and cardiolipins (CLs), separated by thin layer chromatography revealed changes in fatty acid levels during exposure.

Methods: Human colostrum was obtained from 105 mothers who gave birth prematurely in the Centre for Maternity and Neonatology of Tunis (Tunisia). Retinol and alpha-tocopherol were analyzed in the colostrum and in plasma by high-performance liquid chromatography.
Objective: To look at changes in plasma vitamin A, E and D concentrations during the early postnatal life and to study their link with growth and mortality in Tunisian very low birth weight (VLBW) infants.
Patients And Methods: A cohort of 607 VLBW infants had been followed from birth until hospital discharge or death. Blood was collected at birth, at time of maximal weight loss and at time of recovering birth weight.

Methods: The study included 75 Tunisian male elite athletes, practicing team sport and 70 sedentary healthy men as controls.
We examined the phospholipids (Phls) and the membrane fatty acid (FA) composition in Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium dam and/or seqA mutants. Phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine (PE), and cardiolipin (CL) are the major Phls present in all the strains and accounted for greater than 95% of the total lipid phosphorus. Phosphatidic acid and phosphatidylserine are the minor ones.
