Aim: We aimed to evaluate the addition of fetal thigh circumference (TC) to other ultrasound parameters to predict fetal weight compared to two standard formulae (Hadlock's and Vintzileos methods).

Methods: We conducted this prospective study on pregnant women between November 2018 and September 2019. The actual fetal weight was estimated within 48 h of delivery; then, it was compared to the estimated fetal weight by ultrasound.

Obese women were more susceptible to myalgia because of their significantly lower vitamin D concentrations; the present study investigated the efficacy of vitamin D in addition to an aerobic interval training in the management of obese women with myalgia. Forty-five obese women with vitamin D deficiency and myalgia (30 to 40 years old) were assigned randomly into three equal groups. Group A received an aerobic interval training with vitamin D supplementation, Group B received vitamin D supplementation only, and Group C received aerobic interval training only; participants in all groups were on calorie deficient diets.

A library of short di-, tri-, and tetra-peptides with an s-triazine moiety at the N terminus and either an amide or ethyl ester C terminus was prepared in solution and on the solid phase. The two remaining positions of the s-triazine moiety were substituted with methoxy, morpholino, or piperidino groups. All the synthesized peptide derivatives were analyzed by HPLC and fully characterized by IR spectroscopy, H and C NMR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and mass spectrometry (MALDI TOF/TOF).

A series of novel cyano oximino sulfonate derivatives were prepared from the reaction of arylsulfonyl chloride with different cyanoacetamide-based oximes ranging from the simplest unsubstituted amide to analogues containing N-ethyl (mimicking the Oxyma template), N-piperidinyl and N-morpholinyl chains. In addition, the cyano oximes, N-hydroxybenzimidoyl cyanide and N-hydroxypicolinimidoyl cyanide were also used in the synthesis of the novel cyano oximino sulfonate derivatives. The structures of the prepared compounds were confirmed by (1)H-NMR, (13)C-NMR, and elemental analysis.
