Interstitial Lung Fibrosis Imaging Reporting and Data System: What Radiologist Wants to Know?

The aim of this work is to review interstitial lung fibrosis Imaging Reporting and Data System (ILF-RADS) that was designed for reporting of interstitial lung fibrosis (ILF). Findings include pulmonary and extrapulmonary findings and is subsequently designed into 4 categories. Pulmonary findings included lung volume, reticulations, traction bronchiectasis, honeycomb, nodules, cysts, ground glass, consolidation, mosaic attenuation and emphysema, and distribution of pulmonary lesions; axial (central, peripheral and diffuse), and zonal distribution (upper, middle, and lower zones).

Matrix metalloproteinase-9 expression in lung cancer patients and its relation to serum mmp-9 activity, pathologic type, and prognosis.

Background: Matrix metalloproteinase-9 is closely associated with the invasive and metastatic potential of most types of solid cancers. Our objective was to investigate the MMP-9 expression in lung cancer and to evaluate their relations to histopathologic types and prognosis.

Methods: Bronchoscopic samples were obtained from tumor and normal bronchial mucosa in 25 patients with lung cancer.
