Itraconazole (ITZ) is a highly effective antifungal agent. However, its oral application is associated with systemic toxicity and poor topical use. The present study aims to improve the antifungal activity of ITZ by loading it into bioadhesive niosomes.

Even more unusual is its link to pulmonary sequestration alone. This case report describes the clinical presentation of a 7-month-old child with a history of recurrent respiratory distress and chest infections since birth, who had shortness of breath, failure to thrive, and delayed developmental milestones.

Overcrowded refugee camps with poor sanitation and limited resources have fueled outbreaks, exacerbated by disrupted immunization programs and seasonal rains. Malaria is spreading rapidly due to inadequate mosquito control, while cholera outbreaks, linked to unsafe water and poor sanitation, have overwhelmed health facilities.

Introduction: Dental caries, caused by oral microbial pathogens, are a global health concern, further exacerbated by the presence of methicillin-resistant (MRSA). Bioactive proteins and peptides (BAPs) exhibit potent antimicrobial properties, targeting multiple cellular mechanisms within pathogens, reducing the likelihood of resistance development. Given the antimicrobial potential of BAPs, this study aimed to compare the efficacy of BAPs extracted from cultivated (, PoC) and wild (, PoW) mushrooms against pathogens responsible for dental caries.

These include antimicrobials and other therapeutically significant compounds. The emergence of antibiotic-resistant pathogens has necessitated the exploration of possible sources for novel drug candidates.

However, challenges arise in combating breast cancer in Yemen due to the lack of patient registries, national strategies, and structured cancer treatment plans.
Objective: This research sought to evaluate the awareness levels of breast cancer and the perceived obstacles to breast cancer screening among adult Yemeni women.
Introduction: Adenomyosis is a special subtype of endometriosis, affecting the myometrium, affecting about 20% of women in the reproductive age period. Clinical symptoms and intensity are diverse and can vary from heavy menstrual bleeding and dysmenorrhea to infertility and repeated pregnancy losses. Thus, patients often present with a long history of illness pending presumptive clinical or surgical diagnosis.

Aim: This study explored key informants' perceptions regarding the systemic and procedural factors influencing development and implementation of a pharmacist-led anticoagulation service in a primary care setting.
To control schistosomiasis mansoni, it is important to attempt preventing the worms' egg-induced pathology in the liver and limiting pathogen transmission following egg exit from the intestines to the exterior. Therefore, the present study aimed to clarify the reasons behind the decades-long riddle of periovular granulomas downmodulation in the liver, but not the small intestine, with the progression of murine schistosomiasis mansoni. Outbred female CD-1 mice were percutaneously exposed to 15 cercariae.

These promotional activities affect the dispensing behavior of physicians and pharmacists and influence begins from educational institutes.
Objective: Our study's main aim was to evaluate opinion and attitude of pharmacy students towards pharmaceutical promotion.
Artificial intelligence (AI) integration in healthcare has emerged as a transformative force, promising to enhance medical diagnosis, treatment, and overall healthcare delivery. Hence, this study investigates university students' perceptions of using AI in healthcare. A cross-sectional survey was conducted at two major universities using a paper-based questionnaire from September 2023 to November 2023.

The utilization of plant-derived chemicals with anti-diabetic properties is widely promoted for its advantageous tactics in managing diabetes, as they are cost-effective and have minimal or no adverse effects. Therefore, this work investigates the medicinal plant L. leaves by extraction and bio-guided fractionation.

This study explored the effects of short-term exposure to TiO, ZnO, and Ag-NPs on anammox activity in enriched cultures derived from River Nile sediments.
Materials And Methods: Anammox bacteria were identified and enriched, with activity confirmed through 16S rRNA and hydrazine oxidoreductase (hzo) gene amplification and sequencing.
The homochirality of life remains one of the most enigmatic issues in the study of the origin of life. A proposed mechanism for symmetry breaking involves irradiation by circularly polarized light (CPL). To investigate the photoreaction of amino acids under CPL irradiation, a vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) CPL irradiation system was developed at the synchrotron light source UVSOR-III.

Methods: From June 2020 to January 2022, a prospective case-control study was performed on 96 patients who presented with unstable trochanteric fractures treated by internal fixation via short proximal femoral nail (PFN). Patients were divided into two groups: Group A, which included patients who underwent surgery in the lateral position; and Group B, which included those in the supine position.
Background: Community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) is a common infectious disease that can lead to complications such as rhabdomyolysis (RM), a rare but potentially life-threatening condition involving muscle breakdown. RM can further complicate the clinical course by causing acute kidney injury (AKI). We present a case of Community-acquired pneumonia with AKI complicated by rhabdomyolysis in a resource-limited setting.
