Methods: From January 1996 to December 2001, 106 laparoscopic cholecystectomies for acute cholecystitis have been collected. The diagnosis of acute cholecystitis has been confirmed for all cases by the pathologic exam.
Context: To report a rare case of spontaneous rupture of an infected renal cyst into the peritoneal cavity.
Case Report: We report a case of 66-year old man with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease and kidney dialysis who had suffered from intestinal obstruction and peritoneal syndrome for 2 days associated with purulent urine. An exploratory laparotomy found multiple hepatic cysts and bilaterally enlarged polycystic kidneys.
Isolated thoracic parietal involvement is a very rare form of tuberculosis and multifocal localization is exceptional. It often poses a diagnostic problem with parietal tumours requiring recourse to surgical biopsy. We report a case of tuberculous abscess localized to the anterior and superior part of the chest wall with a second abdominal localization but without any pulmonary involvement.
