Background: Head and neck sarcomas are very rare accounting for about 1% of head and neck malignancies and 5% of sarcomas. Outcomes have historically been worse in this group compared to other sarcomas, due to anatomical constraints that make complete surgical removal difficult and increased local relapse rate. Surgery remains the main intervention although the data suggest the role of chemotherapy and irradiation as treatment options.

Innate and adaptive immunity can be regulated by IL-18, and disorders involving its dysregulation might result in inflammatory or autoimmune conditions.
Aim Of The Work: To distinguish between acute kidney injury (AKI) and chronic renal failure (CRF), this research investigates the utility of IL-18 as a novel biomarker and examines how age affects its level.
This study assessed the influence of supplementing the rabbit semen extender with various concentrations of glutathione (GSH) and taurine at 24, 48, and 72 h postchilling at 5°C. Semen samples were collected from 20 New Zealand bucks, and ejaculates with standard color, motility (>85%), about 0.5 mL volume, and ∼400 × 10/mL concentration were used and diluted with extenders supplemented with 0.

The present study was conducted to examine the possible modifying effects of rosemary aqueous extract against sperm abnormalities, testes injury, DNA fragmentation, apoptosis and Ki67 alterations induced by Etoposide in male rats. A total of 50 adult male rats were divided into 5 groups (1st, control; 2nd, rosemary; 3rd, Etoposide; 4th, co-treated Etoposide with rosemary; 5th, post-treated Etoposide with rosemary).

Materials And Methods: Institutional Review Board approval was obtained. This prospective study was carried out on 50 children with chronic hepatitis (mean age 8.
Purpose: In elderly patients, the prognosis of acute coronary syndrome is bleak and the impact of geriatric factors is as yet unknown. The purpose of this work was to identify factors predictive of poor outcome at Month 6 in a population of elderly subjects admitted into hospital with acute coronary syndrome.
Materials And Methods: One hundred and thirty-two patients over 80 years of age were compared with 127 patients under 80, all admitted into a cardiology intensive care unit with acute coronary syndrome between May 2006 and January 2007, vis-à-vis outcome, mortality and cardiovascular events, both during the hospital stay and six months later.
Aims: Upper turn-around of the reentry circuit in typical atrial flutter (AF) is classically described to be located in front of the superior vena cava (SVC), but circuits posterior to the SVC as well as lower loop reentry (LLR) involving only the lower part of the right atrium have been described. However, true prevalence of such AF circuits remains unknown.
Methods And Results: Fifty consecutive patients (46 men, 68 +/- 9 years old) undergoing radiofrequency (RF) ablation of typical counter-clockwise AF were prospectively investigated.
