Transmission of congenital clotting factor deficiencies following orthotopic liver transplantation is rare. There has been one reported case of donor-to-recipient transmission of factor XII deficiency in a transplant, and we report the second case.

Patients often present with elevated intracranial pressure, focal motor deficits, altered mentation and internal hydrocephalus. Syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion (SIADH) has been reported as a notable cause of euvolemic hyponatremia in immunocompromised patients.

Due to the high need for solid organ transplantation in children, this center focused on pediatric transplantation. Between 2011 and 2013, a total of 112 pediatric liver transplantations have been performed in our center, mostly from living donors (n=103, 92%).

Objectives: We present our experience with deceased-donor liver transplant and living-donor liver transplant for hepatocellular carcinoma. Between 2001 and 2007, we transplanted 133 organs (84 deceased-donor liver transplants, 49 living-donor liver transplants) in 126 patients (4 retransplants). Twenty-three patients had hepatocellular carcinoma (14 deceased-donor liver transplants and 9 living-donor liver transplants).
