Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of all pediatric patients who were treated for non-Wrisberg discoid meniscus at our institute between 2013 and 2021. Due to the diversification and complexity of organophosphorus pesticide residues brings great challenges to the detection work. Therefore, we developed a dual-ratiometric electrochemical aptasensor that could detect malathion (MAL) and profenofos (PRO) simultaneously. In this study, metal ions, hairpin-tetrahedral DNA nanostructures (HP-TDN) and nanocomposites were used as signal tracers, sensing framework and signal amplification strategy respectively to develop the aptasensor.

Pseudoaneurysm of the left ventricular free wall occurring after cardiac surgery of endocarditis affecting mitral and aortic valves: a case report.

Background: Infective endocarditis remains a serious condition. Left ventricular pseudoaneurysm may complicate the clinical course of infective endocarditis or occur postoperatively.

Fibrosis assessment in chronic hepatitis B (CHB) is essential for prediction of long-term prognosis and proper treatment decision. This study was conducted to assess predictability of 5 simple noninvasive fibrosis indexes in comparison to liver biopsy in CHB patients.A total of 200 CHB adult Egyptian patients were consecutively included in this study, all were subjected to liver biopsy with staging of fibrosis using METAVIR scoring system.

The increasing interest in plant phenolics and flavonoids outlined the necessity of determining their contents and biological activity in Mauritanian date palm fruits. Methanolic extracts of fruit of six date palm cultivars commonly grown in Mauritania were screened for their antioxidant activity, total phenolics, and flavonoid content at two edible ripening stages. Standardizing visual control devices for tsetse flies: east African Species Glossina fuscipes fuscipes and Glossina tachinoides.

Background: Riverine species of tsetse are responsible for most human African trypanosomiasis (HAT) transmission and are also important vectors of animal trypanosomiasis. This study concerns the development of visual control devices for two such species, Glossina fuscipes fuscipes and Glossina tachinoides, at the eastern limits of their continental range. The goal was to determine the most long-lasting, practical and cost-effective visually attractive device that induces the strongest landing responses in these species for use as insecticide-impregnated tools in vector population suppression.
