Skin cancer is one of the worst cancers nowadays that poses a severe threat to the health and safety of individuals. Therefore, skin cancer classification and early diagnosis are recommended to preserve human life. Multilevel thresholding image segmentation is well-known and influential technique for extracting regions of interest from skin cancer images to improve the classification process.

In the crystal, N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds form chains of mol-ecules extending along the -axis direction, together with normal van der Waals contacts.

Smart monitoring and assisted living systems for cognitive health assessment play a central role in assessment of individuals' health conditions. Autistic children suffer from some difficulties including social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication, and accommodating to the environment around them. Thus, dealing with autistic children is a serious public health problem as it is hard to determine what they feel with a lack of emotional cognitive ability.

Quantitative and qualitative evaluation of toxic metals and trace elements in the tissues of renal cell carcinoma compared with the adjacent non-cancerous and control kidney tissues.

Toxic metals and trace elements (TMTE) are linked to the development of several human cancers. Many reports have documented the association between some TMTE and renal cell carcinoma. In this work, we assessed the presence (qualitative) and evaluated the concentration (quantitative) of 22 TMTE in three groups of kidney tissue samples: renal cell carcinoma (RCC), adjacent non-cancerous, and control kidney tissues from cadavers.

Therapeutic Role of Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation in Alzheimer Disease Patients: Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Clinical Trial.

Objective: To explore the neuropsychological effects and levels of tau protein (TAU), amyloid β 1-42 (Aβ 1-42), and lipid peroxidase after 10 sessions of anodal transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) in patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer disease (AD).

Patients And Methods: A total of 46 consecutive patients with probable AD participated in this study. They were classified randomly into 2 equal groups: active versus sham.

Aims: Myocardial infarction is a medical emergency in which 25 to 35% of patients will die before receiving medical attention. The Stent for Life registry was launched to access the current situation of the Egyptian population presenting with STEMI, and to determine what were the barriers to providing patients with cardiac problems appropriate care.

Methods And Results: This registry was conducted at 14 centres covered all the Egyptian regions including 1,324 consecutive patients presenting with STEMI during the period between January 1st, 2011 to November, 2011.

Value of serum anti-p53 antibodies as a prognostic factor in Egyptian patients with hepatocellular carcinoma.

Objective: p53 antigen is an oncoprotective antigen and when damaged, leads to production of anti-p53 and also predisposes to various cancers, including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Serum anti-p53 has been proven to have a prognostic value in patients with HCC. The objective of this study was to determine the prevalence and prognostic utility of serum anti-p53 in Egyptian patients with HCC.

Chromosomal aberrations in benign and malignant bilharzia-associated bladder lesions analyzed by comparative genomic hybridization.

Background: Bilharzia-associated bladder cancer (BAC) is a major health problem in countries where urinary schistosomiasis is endemic. Characterization of the genetic alterations in this cancer might enhance our understanding of the pathogenic mechanisms of the disease but, in contrast to nonbilharzia bladder cancer, BAC has rarely been the object of such scrutiny. In the present study, we aimed to characterize chromosomal imbalances in benign and malignant post-bilharzial lesions, and to determine whether their unique etiology yields a distinct cytogenetic profile as compared to chemically induced bladder tumors.
