Gene expression of E-selectin in tissue and its protein level in serum of breast cancer patients.

Aims And Background: This study aims to detect the expression of E-selectin in tissue and the serum level of its soluble form in patients with primary breast cancer and benign breast tumors and to correlate the results with the clinicopathological data of the subjects.

Methods: Fifty participants were included in the study and stratified into 3 subgroups. Group A comprised 30 patients with primary breast cancer, group B 9 patients with benign breast tumors, and group C 11 healthy control women undergoing reduction mammoplasty.
