RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq) has become a widely adopted technique for studying gene expression. However, conventional RNA-Seq analyses rely on gene expression (GE) values that aggregate all the transcripts produced under a single gene identifier, overlooking the complexity of transcript variants arising from different transcription start sites or alternative splicing. Transcript variants may encode proteins with diverse functional domains, or noncoding RNAs.

Objective: Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disease of central nervous system (CNS). There are a few articles studying the risk factors of developing MS in men. Male infertility can stem from a range of etiological factors such as genetics or environment.

This is exacerbated by the country's fragile infrastructure, as well as the devastating consequences of the ongoing conflict, which include child undernutrition and strained healthcare resources. Thus, the objective of the current study is to assess the public attitudes and perceptions toward vaccinating children against influenza in Yemen.

This study evaluates the efficacy of empagliflozin on left ventricular (LV) volumes in type 2 diabetes or prediabetes patients with HFrEF.
Methods: This randomised, double-blind, trial study was conducted on 104 patients with type 2 diabetes or prediabetes with HFrEF referred to Imam Khomeini and Golestan hospitals in Ahvaz, Iran.
Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a viral infection caused by SARS-CoV-2, which can trigger autoimmune diseases such as antineutrophilic cytoplasmic antibody (ANCA) associated vasculitis (AAV) that affect small and medium-sized blood vessels in multiple organs. This study discusses a case with neuropathy and positive ANCA after COVID-19 infection and reviews the literature on AAV following COVID-19 infection. A 59-year-old man is presented that was referred to Shariati Hospital for evaluation of neurologic problems after a COVID-19 infection.

Methods: Fourteen patients with convergence spasm aged 20-35 participated in this research. The treatment included touching the medial rectus and its interrelated fascial tissue with the index finger pulp from over the eyelid for at least 300 s and applying very gentle and uniform pressure.
Background: The spread of monkeypox (mpox) worldwide poses a severe threat to human life. This virus leads to a disease with symptoms similar to smallpox in humans. To combat this threat, improving public knowledge and perception toward mpox is vital for public health preventive measures.

Although several autoantibodies have been linked with ILD presentation and adverse outcomes, the association of anti-Ro52 antibody with ILD is less studied. Hence, we investigated this association in various autoimmune diseases in the current study.

To gain insights into the clinical and epidemiological characteristics of CM in Iran, this study evaluated patients with subacute or chronic meningitis referred to 15 Iranian hospitals. Relevant clinical and epidemiological characteristics of the patients were analyzed.

Telemedicine has emerged as a promising tool for supporting burn diagnosis and decision-making, as it allows for remote consultation with burn specialists and access to high-quality imaging. The aim of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic capabilities of telemedicine in diagnosing burn depth.

Use of mobile applications to improve patient engagement is particularly promising in total joint arthroplasty (TJA) whereby successful outcomes are predicated by patient engagement. In accordance with published guidelines by the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses, studies were searched, screened, and appraised for quality on various search engines. Hedges' g or odds ratios of patient adherence were reported.

So, we designed this systematic review and meta-analysis to estimate the impact of menopause on relapse rate, and disability status in women with MS.

Diet quality can also predict the risk of cardiovascular diseases in obese and overweight patients. Therefore, in this study, we sought to examine the relationship between diet quality index (DQI) and cardiometabolic risk factors in obese and overweight women.

We sought to survey that consume of processed meat could effect on MHO and MUHO phenotypes, mediated through inflammatory markers, in overweight and obese Iranian women. The current cross-sectional study was done on 224 women 18-48 years, with a body mass index (BMI) ≥ 25 kg/m.

Furthermore, increased ATM senescence has been shown in obesity-related AT remodeling and dysfunction. However, ATM senescence and its role are unclear in age-related AT dysfunction.

Methods: This cross-sectional study was carried out from April 2019 to May 2021. All fungi isolates were identified using conventional methods and were confirmed by DNA-PCR-based molecular assays.
Background: It has been posited that both metabolically healthy obesity (MHO) and metabolically unhealthy obesity (MUHO) could be emergent from diet and inflammatory markers. Thus, we sought to investigate the influence of plant-based diet on MHO and MUHO phenotypes mediated by inflammatory markers in overweight and obese women.
Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted on 289 women aged ≥18 years, with a body mass index (BMI) ≥25 kg/m.
Objective: Hypospadias is one of the most common diseases of the male reproductive system. Considering the different treatment techniques for this anomaly and important complications such as fistula, meatal/neourethral stenosis, an attempt is made to use a method that has the best result and the least complication for treatment. The aim of this study was to evaluate the snodgraft method in repairing distal or midshaft hypospadias in terms of complications, beauty and effectiveness.
