Coronary artery aneurysm (CAA) is characterized by a localized dilation of one or more of the coronary arteries with multiple etiologies, including congenital, acquired, or connected to auto-inflammatory diseases with multiple shapes and classifications. It is usually diagnosed incidentally during coronary imaging and can have variable clinical outcomes, ranging from asymptomatic to sudden cardiac death with a generally poor prognosis. Management of this condition faces a clinical dilemma due to the lack of clear guidelines or randomized trials.

Thyroid storm is a life-threatening condition characterized by a high level of circulating thyroid hormones and harbors high mortality and morbidity, even if diagnosed and treated early. The condition is frequently overlooked and under-recognized in emergency departments owing to its rarity. Here, we present a case of a 24-year-old male patient, previously healthy, who presented with cardiac arrest and was found to have heart failure and high thyroid hormone levels after investigations.

COVID-19 is an infectious disease induced by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), an enveloped RNA coronavirus that primarily has a tropism for the respiratory tract. Respiratory tract symptoms are frequently encountered, but many complications of this disease are still under study, including cardiovascular and neurological syndromes. The latter was linked to a severe disease presentation, but there are no reports on asymptomatic disease presentations.

Congenital Partial Absence of Pericardium in an Elderly Patient.

Patients with a complete absence of pericardium require no intervention as they are mostly asymptomatic. Due to the risk of herniation, patients with partial absence of pericardium tend to present with symptoms and may benefit from treatment. We report a case of an elderly patient who presented for severe colitis and was incidentally found to have a partial absence of the pericardium on the right side of the heart.
